Joe Scukanec is an award-winning and published photographer residing in Frederica, DE. Originally from Flint Michigan, I enlisted in the US Navy in 1969 where I developed my passion for photography. During my 20 years of US Naval service I traveled throughout the Unites States and around the world experiencing many different cultures and ways of life and recording those experiences through my photographs. For several years I had to put his photography aside to raise a family & work life’s struggles only taking photographs to document family moments. Upon full retirement, I decided to return to photography full time and wake up my passion for creating beautiful images. I enjoy photographing Landscapes, Seascapes, Nature and Still-life. I create unique one-of-a-kind photos by fusing photography with digital art. Before moving to Frederica, I was a resident artist for several years at the Art League of Ocean City, Ocean City, MD. Currently, I am active member at ALOC, RAL, MAL and MAG.
